Alien Nation (Alien War Mix);
“Their already taking to many jobs! Our jobs!” [Cheering] “Sitting at Roosevelt Elementary. We have a major disturbance reported.” ”Let me go there.” “Come on George I didn't want to do it. I'll buy you a piece of spleen or something.” “It's my daughter school.” [Human cop breathes hard.]
[Cheering] “Why stop with running them back to slagtown, why don't we just kill 'em?” [Two shots fired] “Teach them a lesson, keep them in their place, keep America pure!” [Cheering] “We don't even need to paint little stars on them, to recognize them do we? Hell it would be easy to round up, look at 'em! They stand out even better than the Japs that we through in the concentration camps back in 1942. This would be a piece of cake! If enough of us get together; it would almost seem legal won't it? Put little white pointy sheet on our heads, hang us a few slags huh! Let's start with this little one right here!”
“Just because she's a American citizen that doesn't make her a human being does it? So what if she's a little frightened of some of our kids? We can beat that out of her! Discourage her now, she'll give up. So what if she might have came up with a cure for cancer some day! She's not civilized like us! So why don't we just put a gun to her head and end it all right here, huh! Come on, come on, pull the trigger! Come on, TAKE IT! COME ON! How about you Miss Pierce, I know you wanna come pull the trigger, get on ever here, come on down! What I have to do it myself, ok!” “Ah!” “No, we don't won't her dead, we just want her back to where she belongs.” “She belongs here!”
[music sways in] “Aren't you ashamed of yourselves. Huh? Aren't you? Anybody give this little one any trouble they answers to me! Got it?” “Yeah I do!” “You ok? Good girl, go in there and show 'em your stuff! Parties over people; anybody still here in three minutes will be under arrest for the violation of civil rights act of 1964. I'm starting my watch now!” [Cheering.]
{War of the Worlds (Mercury Theater Radio Play)}
“Dim and wonderful is the vision I have conjured up in my mind of life; spreading slowly from this little seed bed of the solar system, throughout the in-animate vastness of sidereal space. But that is a remote dream. It may be that the destruction of the martians is only a reprieve; to them and not to us, is the future ordained, perhaps.”
